In the office of Dr. Michael T. Jones & Associates we utilize conscious sedation as a safe and effective means of controlling fear. Trained staff- members properly administer this. Sedative drugs and techniques may control fear and anxiety, but do not fully control pain and, thus, are commonly used in conjunction with local anesthetics as local anesthetics are used to control regional pain.
During the sedation consultation we combine the right types of sedatives specifically for you.
Oral Sedation
Oral Sedation is administered orally or by mouth. A combination of Nitrous oxide and a medicine called benzodiazepine can be combined to control light to moderate fear and anxiety.
